Fire Storm of Thoughts 2018-45

Fire Storm of Thoughts    2018-45

The inner soul that consoles, gives credence to the eternal

Spirit that resides in the mind of mine.

The holy timbre of the Godly presence speaks with

The knowledge of my thinking.

Thought overcomes spoken words that have no

Rational belief; instead have truths exposed

For myself to hear.

Honest and untethered beliefs are now

Open, as true and exact in my mind.

I am one with God; His presence is

Encompassing, welcoming, plus

Comforting to experience.

His love is overwhelming, enveloping me in a

Cocoon of feelings beyond description.

The Creator is one, one with me, one with all.

My Self, is now simple, not complex as things

Were, are now not.

Simplicity reigns, knowledge is gained,

And beliefs are confirmed again.

The inner sanctum of fears are released, and

Peace is the norm.  No longer do the

Howls of inner turmoil be held captive as the

Tinkling of quiet solutions is heard and enjoyed.

The moment of realization that peace is

Apparent and is appreciated for what it is.

God has spoken, I have heard, seen and I know

What many do not realize, speak, admit, and believe.

God is ALIVE, He is ACTIVE, He is AWARE, He is PRESENT

                      ALWAYS!!!

Anger and Hatred 2018-29

Hatred and Anger   2018-29

Why do “some” have so much bitterness and perhaps anger and hatred for those of other faiths, skin color, or ethnic origins?

Where is the love of all in their lives? And, do they claim any sort of religious beliefs like being a Christian? If so, do they not realize that the god-man, Jesus, touted nothing but love for all? Even, if not a Christian or any other faith, is not love a much better attitude towards people of the world?

It is hard to understand the thinking of those that have these feelings of hatred. What story do they have to share that could explain how they feel?  How can they be proud of having Anti-Semite,  racial prejudice, or abhorrence for others in their thoughts or actions?

There is NO answer to these questions that make any sense. I can only pray that time will resolve the issues for them, and in their place, understanding, love and caring for fellow mankind will result.

Hatred towards others is like a slow festering boil that keeps hurting and hurting until expunged and removed. This can happen, but a decision to take action must be made and then acted on, which is hard to do at times.

Many have removed God from their lives or have never had Him there as a guiding light, such as Jesus Christ is for those that believe. He IS the light of the world and coming to this conclusion takes time and perseverance, and simply belief.  Reading Scripture and learning about the man-God that taught love instead of hate is a start, but only a beginning.

The time where we learn from the teachings of Jesus and then mirror the things it takes, will be the finalization of the journey of life with God, or at least a continuation.

Love n Hate 2017-61

                                                            Love n Hate  2017-61

Love is just a word!

BUT, it is a word with meaning, with feeling, and is, of course, involving emotion. Love could be expressed as the opposite of hate, but is love related to this differing word.

If one has a hate feeling, is that an absence of love and does the love feeling  show the absence of hate?

Can there be a love-hate relationship that embodies both feelings? Or is it like spring water and mineral oil that do not mix, but instead, separate?

Can I love God and hate the devil, yet in this love of God, do I still allow the devil to intrude and tempt? Or most of all succeed????

If so, WHY?

A paradox of thought, loving one and allowing the other at the same time to interfere!

Why can’t I love God, SO MUCH, that I will surrender or submit myself totally without the pressure of the devil to be included?

Of course, I know the answer, but do I NOT want to state it or even admit it as so???????

BUT, the great thing is, God still loves me, forgives me and with that I know I am saved. Or hope so!!!!!!

 Peace,

Expressions of Love 2017-25

I was looking for a post to make and came up with this poem I wrote a while ago and thought it would be great. Too much, I write about things that are, at times, negative in nature and this one will suffice to make up for some of them.  Love is a word, but it means so very much to many people and it sure beats hate and discord.

Expressions of Love  2017-25

The absolutes of love are real,

It various as the species abound,

Expressions of feelings take many forms,

As one, the other, or both reflect.

The frolicking young with heart so full,

And the ageless, speaking with unspoken words.

How grand, how majestic – the feeling of love,

A thing to share, without restraint of time.

A gesture here, a look across a room,

A smile, a whisper in the ear.

Sparkles or twinkling in the eye,

As a lover looks at the other.

A rose, a card, or nothing more,

Than a touch of a hand on a cheek.

Love, a word so often used,

But expressed in so many ways.

What Has Happened? 2016-54

What Has Happened? 2016-54

What will it take to have people look at others without feelings of prejudice, hatred, of despisement, fear, scorn, loathing, contempt, distaste, contempt, distain, abhorrence, and all the other words that almost mean the same thing?

What happened to the feeling of love, respect, reverence, admiration, affection, togetherness, understanding, devotion, trust, and even the belief in God?

Or is my mind in a cloud of non-understanding and one of unreality?

Who makes the first move of changing? Who are the ones that ferment the bad vibes of the world, and why? Another thing, why do people use religion as reasons for hateful actions or thoughts? I think of the places like the Westboro Baptist Church in some cases

Is God wondering if it is time for a change and does He believe His plan, if any, is not going well? Of course, if you do not believe in God this does not matter. And if you say you believe and do nothing to show your belief, it does not matter either.

I am not judging, but feel that saying you are a Christian or devout Jew or practicing Muslim and not do your part in getting closer to your God, you are not fooling God, but yourself. I believe too many people, including myself, say we believe, and do not do the things to prove it. We can do the proverbial talk the talk and not do the walk the walk type of thing….

As a self-proclaimed Christian, I feel it is about time I start to be committed to being a Christian. It is too easy to make a claim of being one, but to actually do the things that Jesus Christ would want me to do is another matter. I must read the Bible more, to see what He would expect from me. It is all there; just have to read up on it.

Anyone can do what they want to do or not do and that is up to them. We all have to look in the mirror and try to see the other Self we all have inside us. The one that lurks within us and does not come to the surface and hides the real us.

I say it is time for me to be a Christian and do Christian things; starting with the simple thing of loving my fellow Earthlings. All of them, not just the ones I feel good about. All of them that include those of other races, religions, creeds, ethnics, countries, neighbors, communities, and the list goes on and on.

That is not an easy task, but to be a Christ following Christian and surrendering myself to Jesus Christ means I have to learn new skills and do the things that MUST be done.

I welcome anyone I know to follow Jesus Christ with me. Get back to me personally and share your thoughts of doing so; it can help me in my quest of getting closer to the Lord…………………………………..

Promises 2016-32

How many times have we promised something to someone? How many times have we done so, with the knowledge we will not fulfill the promise? This is a common trait in life and one thing that is usually forgiven if we do not keep the promise; or is it forgiven? It depends on the promise and the person we made the promise to, I would guess……

I think of the times I promised my God that I would do this or that if He would do something in particular, but did I do what I promised Him eventually?; don’t know or will not say…

Promises 2016-32

A politician saying what he will,

Again, again and once more again,

A bride and groom at the alter,

Making a forever wish

The soldier going off to a war,

With words of the expectation of return

A rainbow in the mist and sun,

Saying no more floods.

A promise made with deceit, love

hope and faith.

Beyond the Meaning 2015-130

I tell my wife I love her all the time. You would think she would be tired of my doing so. Ha…. Not a chance. Anyhow, saying something and meaning it are two different things. My feelings of love towards her are more than words, more than just a saying. Beyond the meaning of love, means so very much, so very more than just the words “I love you”.

Beyond the Meaning 2015-130

To love a person beyond

The meaning of the word love

Past the words that normal

People say in an intimate way

Stating a depth of feeling

That struggles for infinity

For a closeness so near

That it melds into one

A love not experienced

My many mortal men

Directed toward a woman

At the essence of her aura

To say, “I love You Darling”

In a way not expressed

With a word of this world,

But beyond the meaning of love…

Appreciation 2015-122

Most of us take thing for granted, even life itself. Most of us go through life in a way that doesn’t even think of what tomorrow will bring or how it will affect us. Such is life!!!! But, to take even a moment and consider where we are, where we are going and even where we have been, takes some thought. I wonder why we do not think about this more! Life is so, so short in actuality and we SHOULD do some thinking about this, to give us focus of where we have, are, and will be. That being said, here is a poem about appreciation in a most different way…………..

Appreciation   2015-122

Sometimes we should appreciate

the things we have in life,

At times we should express it,

in many ways that show.

Life is so short on this earth,

To take for granted long.

But how does one tell it

to the one we love.

Most often its hard to say,

our deep feelings inside.

Letting go with close thoughts

in ways not normal for us.

Maybe its as simple as a spoken word,

saying how you feel the moment now.

Allowing those that care for you,

to know you care for them.

Beginning with a simple “I” and

following with “love you”.

Song of Happiness 2015-42

Sometimes I write poems like this and afterwards wonder if what I wrote really means anything. Or, just sounds like la-la land type thinking. Then I ponder, (like I was told the other night) I don’t give a rat’s ass what other people think. I believe in certain ideas and my thoughts are what they are and that is the way it is.

Song of Happiness  2015-42

Sing a song of happiness,

Make it a song of joy.

Sing a song that touches the heart

Of every girl and boy.

Let them know of peace and love,

To share with one another.

Sing the song while holding hands,

As your sister or your brother.

Sing this song and look in their eyes

Let them know you care.

We only live once in this wide, wide world

So enjoy and join in prayer

Sing this prayer of understanding,

Between the opposites in life

Hope that this will heal in time

All the pain, turmoil and strife.

Sing the song of happiness,

And make it a song of joy.

And sing this song that touches the heart,

Of every girl and boy.

Senses 2015-04

I like this one!  It ties in the  senses we have, with life, in a simple way. It uses the senses to help realize there is so much around us to experience and understand. It’s not too heavy to read and it gets across what I was feeling at the time about living and what I believe in. Not much more to say about it.

Senses     – 2015-04

Take a sip from the spoon of life,

and taste the nectar of living.

Drink from the cup of wisdom,

experience the feeling of knowledge.

Breath the air of freedom

smell the freshness of independence.

Touch another with tenderness,

and  feel the spirit of love.

Look at the world around you

and  see the complexity of creation.

Eat from the table of the Lord,

and know the opportunity of eternity.
