Heartbeat 2018-102

You NEVER know!!!!!  The time, the place, the occasion, or the why! But, we all have a reason to wish for continued beats, the continued noise in our chests. Not to worry, but to be reminded that we are indeed human, not an AI with no soul.  Hmmmmmm.!!!!

Heartbeat   2018-102

They say you never know

a moment in time to see

When you least expect it

it was meant to be

It takes an erratic car

an accident with a ladder

A holdup at a market place

or simply wasn’t your day

How much we take for granted

this micron time on Earth

Living for tomorrow – not today

Death is but, a heartbeat away.

That being said, it might be wise

to consider some things

Which may be important in life

Where do you want to go?

What does it mean to be internal

where the mind is there

The body is a thing of the past

and thinking rules.

Again, the heartbeat will tell,

and we will then know!!!!!

Peace

Sleep Like Death 2018-52

Sleep like Death    2018-52

When we retire at night and finally go to sleep, is this like when we die? When we do not dream, we are existing in a lockout of feelings and sensorial input. We do NOT have our normal senses having any input which would affect us in some way.

We do NOT smell the roses in the room, hear the clock tick, feel the covers tickling our ear, see the fly on the wall, taste the mouthwash we used before bed, or have any emotional feelings to dwell on our mind.   We are, in essence, in a dark void of being.

Is this like death, or nonexistence in relation to living such as the “long sleep” of life or slumber? I don’t think so, of course.  Perhaps it would look the same to someone observing us in sleep who could compare our inert body to one that is dead.

In sleep mode, there is an awakening (hopefully). In that time frame, our eyes open and the realization of life continues. I believe, that, when we die and are definitely dead, we also have an awakening, but in a different way.

We do not have a body shell to have and experience the earthly senses.  We do not have the pains, if any before, that the body had as a human existence. Nor do we now have the other sensorial stimulations. Our “being” is now a soul, based entity, that does not require the senses, but does have the feelings of the mind we had and memories of Self.

Our capabilities, as such, will evolve and they will be enhanced. We will not be strumming on harps, while floating on a fluffy cloud in the sky. Instead, we have entered the realm of being that is truly unknown to us.

I cannot know how it is after we pass on to continue our journey, but I hope and pray it will be a wonderful occurrence, which we all will like and appreciate. I could add that there is a stated cost involved and is written in the Scripture gospels, which detail exactly what is expected.

My journey to get closer to God, is a long time and term commitment and one that involves my doing things that I never did before. It is a wonderful trip of life that makes me feel better in ways I never imagined. It gives me peace about myself that I never expected and a feeling towards others that I never had before. I now have insight about many things that were foreign to me in the past and that is sort of great.  So, there are benefits to becoming a follower of God that has ramifications unknown and I would never have experienced them unless I took the first step of the journey. Thanks be to God!!!

Heartbeat 2018-02

In a heartbeat, things change, our lives, our loves, our wishes, all of life, just one beat and we are in a different zone of life.  I wrote this when something happened to me that made me different, made me change my life or, it changed without any effort or inclination of my own. That is the way life is at times, good, bad or indifferent to what we want at times.  Never take life for granted, always realize that who, what and how we are can be changed; in a heartbeat.

DEATH – A Continuation of the Journey of Life 2017-54

DEATH – A Continuation of the Journey of Life 2017-54

When it happens, I believe it is just another facet of living. The trip of life will be changed, but in the change, it will be exciting. No longer is the mind concerned about worldly problems, local factions or personal needs.  A change that will be profound.

The imperfections that were being carried during the old journey will be gone. The aches, the pains, the torments of the mind will have flown the coop, fading into oblivion. Earthly needs will be non-existent and will be thrown by the wayside- discarded like old socks past their prime.

No looking back now!  Those left behind will catch up with us soon enough, and not that long in the scope of time tables of life. A new adventure of living now not to be afraid of, but instead, a glorious awakening of existence. New contacts to be introduced too and also the re-acquaintances of those in the past to greet us, and bring us up to date of factual things unknown before.

Old stories of living life to be checked out, to ascertain their correctness and to realize if they were true or not. The opportunity, at last, to meet with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in person. Wow, how awe inspiring of a thought. Questions to ask that were always in the background, but now answered, now known.

No more wondering, no more confusion, no more strife and despair, now peace. The feeling of contentment, of satisfaction and of completeness, which will now be the norm in a way of life. The final journey with all the promises, wished for, now a reality.

The soul of being, encapsulated in an essence of life in the hereafter, spending time with others of the same ilk in the new life, the new journey. No regrets, just a feeling of being where we were meant to be, how we are, as we are, in a total forever.

Death is NOT a terrible or horrible thing for those in the second journey, the continuation of life. It is one of joy and not of tribulations of despair. Perhaps for those left behind, for a while, until being reunited with those that took the step to a journey of life everlasting. This is what I believe!!!!!

Granting of Life 2017-27

So EASY to do, taking life for granted!!! We all expect tomorrow to arrive, life to go on, and on and on…….  I sometimes sit and contemplate life in general, my life and lives of others I know.  It is NOT a given, something that will never end, but is something to appreciate while we have it here on Earth.

Granting of Life   2017-27

Taking life for granted, at times,

is an easy thing to do.

The repetitious existence we live,

a sameness, of happenings –nothing new.

The birds flying by, making noise,

and bees buzzing – creating honey

The grass needs cut again, of course;

girls being annoyed by little boys.

All our senses gather data each day,

sometimes not as good as before,

But with a sensual diminishment,

consider if they were taken away.

Knowing what we are born with

and then learn to improve with time.

The walking, running and everything,

is now a normal expected thing.

If taken away, any will be missed,

when something was always there.

The parting is not fair, and really

should have been more appreciated

Enjoyment of Life 2017-26

How should we enjoy life?  Many go about their lives, living from day to day, in an existence of getting just by, from daylight to nighttime. BUT, do we enjoy our lives in the middle? Do we enjoy our reality of living life in the fullest until the end of our human span of living? I like to envision my life now, as one that has a purpose with no promise of tomorrow, but with an enjoyment of today, good, bad or indifferent; but always as full as can be…………..

Enjoyment of Life  2017-26

Death is not a stranger

but instead is one to be recognized

as being in our midst.

Not wanted or loved,

but acknowledged as being part

of our existence.

A final act in the play of life itself.

Tomorrow is not a promise,

yesterday was a gift,

Today should be enjoyed

for and how it is.

The FIFTH Horseman 2015-27

The FIFTH Horseman   2015-27

2015-27

“A horrible thought!!! Those that read the Bible and know about the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse realize the intent of the writing about them. I believe it was during a mental lapse of mind that I came up with a Fifth one. This was about “me” at the time, when I was recovering from a head injury and feeling sorry about myself. During this down time of that era, I again, wrote this poem whereas I was reacting then due to conditions beyond my control or understanding. I no longer feel this way about life, but the opposite and think life is good and there is always – – – – .”

      The FIFTH Horseman   2015-27

WAR rode by – triumphant in the darkened sky,

Leaving PESTILENCE to do his ugly deeds.

FAMINE soon arrived with glee, to starve mankind,

Followed by DEATH to finish any having untold needs.

By far the worse, was the very, very last,

The Fifth Horseman, who came trotting slowly past.

A jeering face, a laugh in the wicked wind,

For any left behind in the maelstrom and the din,

Screaming a final promise did he then make,

As a gray forbidding cloud, followed in his wake,

“For those that survive and think they can really cope;

I believe NOT”, said the horseman called NO HOPE.
